STC early on in its business development determined that it needed to align itself with world class partners in order to secure its ability to develop world class footwear. They started early on by becoming members of SATRA in order to secure a footwear making and testing knowledge base.

The next phase was to secure one of the best footwear soling injection molding machines. They contracted DESMA to this end and secured a DESMA PU injection molding machine roughly 8 years ago.

Around the same time the DESMA machine was purchased STC also put in its first Vibram direct attach PU/Rubber mold and negotiated with W.L. Gore to secure a license to manufacture footwear using the gold standard Gore-Tex family of waterproof breathable membranes.
